David Wilder I have served as a pastor of congregations for more than 40 years. Prior to coming to St. Luke, I served congregations in the Midwest and the national church of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. My ministry serves to and with members and friends of the congregation who are pre-retired and retired. We seek opportunities for fellowship and service through St. Luke.

Judy Willis Phone extension: 16 Judy has three areas of oversight: Service Coordinator – Judy is responsible for coordination of all volunteerism at St. Luke both within the congregation and for the community projects we do in conjunction with the Social Concerns committee. She works to help each member find the place where they can best use their gifts and talents as a part of the family of St. Luke. Please contact Judy if you would like the opportunity to volunteer your time and talent. Youth Coordinator – Together with fellow staff member Debbi McCollom, Judy is responsible for coordination of the High School Youth Ministry as well as assisting with the Confirmation Program. Debbi McCollom Phone extension: 22 In the Children’s Ministries area, Debbi’s responsibilities include: Sunday School/Christian Education, Circle of Friends – Wednesday Church Night, Vacation Bible school, Advent Festival, Fall Family Festival, Children’s Christmas Program, Sunday School Teacher Appreciation Brunch, and chairing Christian Education Committee meetings. In the Youth Ministries area, her responsibilities include: Confirmation (7th and 8th grade students) and High School youth (grades 9 thru 12).
Dan Hibbett Phone extension: 19 Dr. Dan Hibbett has served as the Minister of Music at St. Luke Lutheran Church since the fall of 2000. His past experience includes ten years of teaching and directing choirs at Northwest Nazarene University, Seattle Pacific University, and Central Christian College in McPherson, Kansas, and twelve years in music ministry in Free Methodist and United Methodist churches in Washington. Dan served for nine years as the full-time Director of Music Ministries at Edmonds United Methodist Church (Edmonds, Washington) while completing a doctoral degree in choral conducting at the University of Washington in Seattle. Dr. Hibbett is a member of the Portland Symphonic Choir, American Choral Directors Association, Association of Lutheran Church Musicians, American Guild of English Handbell Ringers, and has conducted choral and handbell workshops in Oregon and Washington. He directs the Rejoice Choir, St. Luke Ringers, Youth Bells, intergenerational worship teams, and various vocal ensembles throughout the year. Dan’s responsibilities include the administration and coordination of the weekly music ministry, planning and directing special concerts, festival worship services, and summer music workshops for children and youth. He supervises four, part-time music staff including an organist/assistant minister of music, two children’s choir directors, and a marimba instructor.
Karl Gustafson Email Karl >> Karl joined the music ministry team at St Luke in April 2003. He has served as a church organist and/or choir director since 1975 in Lutheran, United Methodist, Presbyterian and UCC churches in Washington and Oregon. He has taught music at all grade levels in the public schools for the last 31 years, and presently teaches elementary level music in the Lake Oswego School District. Karl has been an active performer in numerous choirs in the Portland area, including Choral Cross-Ties and Portland Symphonic Choir, and served as Assistant Conductor of the Portland Symphonic Choir for two years. He has also toured in Europe twice with Portland choirs; in 2001, Karl was the Assistant Conductor and Accompanist for the Portland Symphonic Choir’s trip to the Czech Republic. Karl feels fortunate to be a part of the music ministry at St Luke, and appreciates the wide variety of opportunities to share the musical gifts with which God has blessed him. |
